ABSTRACT
This study was carried out to examine effect of violent films on Nigerian cultural values in Agege Local Government, Lagos State. Specifically, the study examined preference of violent films among teenagers in Agege Local government area of Lagos state. the influence of violent films on the dressing pattern of teenagers in Agege Local government area of Lagos state. if violent films affects the temperament of teenagers in Agege Local government area of Lagos state. the negative impact of violent films on teenagers in Agege Local government area of Lagos state. if violent films affect the cultural values of teenagers in Agege Local government area of Lagos state. in Agege Local Government, Lagos State. The study employed the survey descriptive research design. A total of 180 responses were validated from the survey. . From the responses obtained and analysed, the findings revealed that the preference of violent films among teenagers in Agege Local government area of Lagos state is high. also, The influence of violent films on the dressing pattern of teenagers is very high in Agege Local government area of Lagos state. The study recommend that Parents should not let their children spend too much time on violence movies as The more time they spend immersed in violent content, the greater its impact and influence. Furthermore, Parents should Check out ratings of films, and, when there are none, find out about content.
